We would like to reinforce the safe and proper use of alkaline batteries in Ameda personal breast pumps. The following warning is being added to all personal breast pumps in the Ameda Purely Yours family of products. Breast Pump Flange
One of the most important parts of your pump is the breast flange. First, make sure that the seal between the breast and the flange is never broken, because if the seal breaks it may take up to 30 seconds to re-establish proper suction. Hold the flanges by the cup portion, as any other way can cause the loss of suction. When using a hands free bra while pumping, proper sizing of the bra and placement of the flange needs to be ensured to avoid the issue of breaking the seal. Make sure to also use the correct flange size.
